Currently, the project's starting point at the section connecting with Mai Son - National Highway 45 has been opened to traffic on the occasion of April 30; The end point of the project is the intersection with Nghi Son - Dien Chau expressway in Nghi Son town (Thanh Hoa), Nghi Son - Dien Chau expressway also plans to open to traffic on September 2.

Talking to PV Tien Phong  about the construction status and the ability to complete the project on schedule, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quynh - Director of the National Highway 45 - Nghi Son Expressway Project Management Board, Project Management Unit 2, Ministry of Transport - said that, currently, the overall construction volume of the project has reached 80%, especially the XL01 and XL02 packages reach 90%. With the site for project construction, Mr. Quynh said that in early July, the project had solved the last problems about the ground on the main line.

At the soft soil treatment sections, currently the project is only about 1 km in the XL03 package, which must be monitored closely. "However, according to the plan on August 5, 1 km of settlement monitoring in package XL3 will be unloaded. After being opened to traffic, the National Highway 45 - Nghi Son will be 17 meters wide, equivalent to 4 lanes, 2 lanes in each direction, maximum vehicle speed 80km/h (first investment phased phase); In the second investment phase, the Highway 45 - Nghi Son will have a road surface of 34.5 - equivalent to 6 lanes (3 lanes each way), the maximum speed of cars is 120km. /H.
