Population:
In 2005, Thanh Hoa had 3.67 million people; There are 7 ethnic groups living there, namely: Kinh, Muong, Thai, H'mong, Dao, Tho and Hoa. Ethnic minorities live mainly in mountainous and border areas.

Labor:
The population of working age is about 2.16 million, accounting for 58.8% of the provincial population. The labor force of Thanh Hoa is relatively young, with a good educational level.
